What about something for Mom and Dad? Here are a few of my favorites:
Gift certificate to their local spa
The last thing new parents often have time for is grocery shopping so if you are local, bring them a bag or two the next time you stop by. If you live far away, consider using a service like Peapod. You can pick what you want to send and they will do all the heavy lifting. Peapod
A cleaning service
Who doesn’t love a clean house when you didn’t have to be the one to clean it and you’re spending a lot of time in it? This is a great gift from a group, especially if you’d like to help keep the place clean for a month or two. There are many options to choose from but your best bet is to reach out to a service you or someone you know is already using. Have more time than money? Consider doing it yourself (if they’ll let you).
This is another great option, especially once the novelty of has worn off for Mom and Dad and they are starting to forget what eating out is like. If you’re not comfortable babysitting the baby alone, offer to come by for a few hours while Mom or Dad is home so they can have a little time to do whatever they need to (shower, nap, send pictures to grandparents, etc.).
This is a nice way to commemorate baby’s arrival and do something nice for Mom. You can figure out the baby’s birthstone here: Birthstones. There are endless options at a range of price points. Red Envelope has a lot of great options in their Motherhood Jewelry Collection. I really like their Solitaire Birthstone Ring which you can personalize by engraving the baby’s name on the inside.
